Job description

Job Title: Science Teacher

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type: Permanent, full-time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £162 - £251 per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans in line with educational guidelines
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through tests and assignments
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance
  • Supervise laboratory work and ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Science or related field
  • Experience teaching science subjects at the secondary level

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Science
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Experience in using technology in the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
