Science Intervention Teacher - Salford

Do you have experience working with young people that require extra support in Science? Are you looking for a new role starting in September 2019?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside Secondary schools in the Salford area to aid them in recruiting new Science Intervention Teachers into their team.

  • Part time roles available from September 2019 until the end of the academic year
  • 3 days per week
  • Earn up to £350 per week, depending on experience
  • Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis who require extra support with Science
  • Opportunity to work with children who display challenging behaviour

As a Science Intervention Teacher in our client schools, responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students who require extra support with Science
  • Planning and incorporating interventions to aid specific students' attainment with the hoped of raising their progress
  • Supporting students aged 11-16 whilst working alongside senior class teachers
  • Assisting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis when they are withdrawn from science lessons to attend intervention sessions that the potential candidate should be able to plan and deliver
  • Being confident to work with pupils who display challenging behaviour and have minor learning difficulties such as dyslexia

To be considered for this Science Intervention teaching role, previous experience working with students who have required additional support will be highly advantageous. Our client schools are in need of extra staff to guarantee particular students are supported and that teachers also have the help they require in the classroom.

Our client schools are based in and around the area of Salford and are easily accessible via surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as Bolton and Bury. For candidates who do not drive, there are several public transportation links from areas such as central Manchester, Bolton and Bury.
