Part time Science Teacher required in Lambeth.

A one of a kind opportunity has come up at a hospital school based in a hospital in Lambeth.

**You must be able to teach A Level Biology and Biology BTEC**

The school is very small and caters for students who are both long stay and short stay patients at the hospital. They have a range of medical needs including the requirement for regular kidney dialysis.

One student wishes to take A Level Biology, and one student wishes to take Biology BTEC. This is the main reason that the school is recruiting a teacher.

The details of the role:

  • 2 days per week - the school is flexible on which days of the week this would be
  • You will teach the student doing A Level, the student doing BTEC as well as teaching general Science to several other students across key stage 3 and key stage 4
  • Working hours are 9am - 4pm, and the contact time with students is 10am - 3pm, so you will have 2 hours per day for planning and preparation
  • Some teaching will be done 1:1 at student bedsides, and some teaching will be done to small groups in the dedicated classroom
  • Potential to be long term - if you are the right fit for the students you will be invited to stay for the remainder of the academic year

The benefits:

  • Make rapid progress by working 1:1 with the A Level and BTEC students
  • The school is flexible on which two days per week you would work - this can also vary from week to week if necessary
  • Excellent transport links on train, tube and bus
  • Work during term time only - you would still get all the school holidays off
  • Teaching Personnel would be your direct employer and as such we would pay a national insurance and pension contribution for you
  • £120 - £150 dependent on experience

The school is looking to appoint as soon as possible. It is imperative that you apply to Teaching Personnel now if you are interested and this can be done by sending an up to date copy of your CV for consideration.
