Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (no weekends!)
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract: Temporary with potential to go permanent
Start Date: asap
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Youth Support Officer to work with young people with Autism. These pupils come from a range of backgrounds and may be cautious when forming new relationships, so your ability to build trust, mentor effectively, and communicate with sensitivity will be essential.
This position sits within an alternative education setting, offering tailored learning that supports pupils’ personal, social, and vocational development. Lessons often take a practical, hands-on approach to help prepare students for life beyond school and to nurture their individual strengths, interests, and ambitions.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable experience for a future career in education or youth work.
Requirements
We welcome applicants with experience in areas such as sports, care, youth work, or any background involving support for young people. Training will be provided, and CPD opportunities are available through our CPD Academy.

Two references covering a 24-month period (or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
