**School Site Supervisor**

Teaching Personnel are looking for a site supervisor to work in a school in Daventry. The role will vary, but will typically involve ensuring the school is secure, tidying, moving furniture, some general maintenance (painting, repairs etc).

You will need to be a very good communicator as you will be liaising with many different people throughout the day, including external bodies/companies. You should be able to work unsupervised, but also be prepared to listen to instructions. A technical background would be useful, as well as practical experience with repairs etc. As there will often be lifting involved, you will need to be physically fit.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a school as a Site Supervisor or as a member of support staff however you will still be considered if you don't have the exact matching experience.

The successful applicant for this post will be expected to:

  • Be responsible for ensuring the security of school buildings, site and resources
  • Act as a designated key holder, providing out of hours and emergency access to the school site
  • Arrange for general maintenance within specialist areas such as heating, lighting and plumbing to ensure safe and effective operation
  • Be responsible for regular health and safety checks of buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings, (including compliance with fire safety regulations) and equipment
  • Liaise with Business Manager on all aspects of premises issues
  • Monitoring utility usage and act to reduce expenditure where appropriate
  • Liaise with Business Manager in updating and maintaining the school maintenance plan
