School Admin Assistant – Immediate Start – Bracknell/Wokingham Area ️
Location: Bracknell or Wokingham, Berkshire
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Full-time (term-time only or all year round, depending on school)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
A welcoming and supportive school in the Bracknell/Wokingham area is looking to appoint a School Admin Assistant to join their busy office team. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong administrative skills and experience in HR, payroll, and SIMS.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Providing administrative support to the school office, senior leadership team, and teaching staff
-
Managing daily operations including reception duties, correspondence, and filing
-
Supporting HR functions such as recruitment admin, absence tracking, and personnel records
-
Assisting with payroll processing and liaising with external payroll providers
-
Maintaining accurate data and pupil records using SIMS (School Information Management System)
-
Supporting safeguarding procedures by maintaining confidential records
✅ Requirements:
-
Proven administrative experience (within a school is preferred but not essential)
-
Experience in HR and payroll processes is essential
-
Experience using SIMS is required
-
Excellent organisational and time management skills
-
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Friendly, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
