On behalf off  our partner school which is based on the outskirts of Winchester, considered to be ’good’ with ‘outstanding’ features, we are looking to recruit an ambitious, future leader to join their high achieving Desiogn Technology department. The staff at the school say that it is a wonderful place to work mostly because of the dedicated and supportive senior leadership team driven by a Headteacher who consistently ensures that the school delivers a compelling vision shared by all.

The Design Technology department is a close knit and supportive team which consists of nine teachers. Design Technology is taught in state of the art facilities and staff have very high expectations of their students. The Design Technology department utilises SMART boards, digital projectors, networked computers and a range of software with all ages and abilities in mind to ensure excellent educational and all inclusive provision. The department runs resistant materials, textiles and food technology and a well rounded teacher would be well suited. The department hosts meetings on a regular basis of which all teachers contribute towards. The department also play a significant role in contributing towards the wider community of the school participating in the ski trip, rock challenge, the enterprise project and revision work shops.

The school are dedicated to enhancing young people’s lives and aim to provide a world class education through developing a love of learning beyond the school gate. They encourage their students through installing positive habits. They are therefore looking for someone who:

  • Is an inspiring NQT or more experienced teacher who is able to install an expert way of thinking
  • Shares best practice and consistently strives for excellence from their students
  • Who is a dedicated practitioner that can provide an all inclusive education, particularly for students who supported by the pupil premium
  • Is reflective and passionate about their own CPD and able to positively contribute towards inset days and supporting teaching and learning in the department
  • Has expert subject knowledge.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
