Residential Support Workers

Job description

The school is an independent specialist day and residential school for young people aged 2 to 19 years with Autism and associated difficulties including challenging behaviour. Students have personalised and individualised programmes, designed by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to support the young people to make progress, develop skills and engage socially with others.

As a Children's Residential Support Worker you will support the young people within the classroom and home environment as well as planning and taking part in a range of activities to suit the interests of the young person in your care. This role also involves supporting with personal care and hygiene including toileting, bathing and showering.

We are looking for motivated care professionals who will strive to meet each young person’s individual needs at all times. Although it is not essential you have experience supporting young people with special needs, it would be beneficial for you to have an understanding of Autism.

The school is not easily accessed by public transport so it is essential you have a UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
