Reception Teaching Assistant Job

Primary School in Blackburn

25-30 working hours in the week

Supporting a child coming into the school with additional learning and social needs

This could be the job for you!

Through Teaching Personnel you can work in this role supporting a child in a Blackburn Primary School from October, working with the child through the primary year groups. The role is determined by the local authority funding and so the school do have the option to cut the temporary role if the funding is cut for any reason. However the expectation for this role will be that the successful candidate works through Teaching Personnel on a temporary supply basis and then transitions on to a permanent school contract.

If you are interested in this role then you can check over the pre-requisites in order to ascertain your suitability.

-Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant or equivalent qualification

-Experience with MAKATON, Signing and/or Sign a long

-Previous experience working in an Early Years Department or Reception class.

-Previous experience working alongside children with additional needs

-Comfortable with toileting and personal care

-Available to work from September in school, five days a week (25-30 hours a week)
