Reception Teacher needed in Hammersmith and Fulham ASAP!

We are currently seeking a Reception Class Teacher to start in September for a lovely Primary School based in Hammersmith. The school takes great pride in providing a high level of education for all of the students and is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed class teacher to initially join their dedicated reception team.

The school are looking for a Reception Class Teacher who holds a UK QTS and have teaching experience within the UK.

The Reception Class Teacher Would Need:

  • Updated DBS
  • Have a professional attitude and able to work within a team.
  • Must be creative in your approach to planning, delivering and assess your students.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Able to create interesting and engaging lessons for your students
  • Flexible and able to differentiate your lessons
  • To praise and encourage pupils development

The Reception Class Teacher Responsibilities:

  • To teach a full class of pupils having the overall responsibility for ensuring that the secular curriculum are delivered within an integrated, EYFS broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Teach a full class of pupils having the overall responsibility for all of the planning, preparation, teaching and learning, pupil assessment and reporting.
  • Maintain and promote the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Act as a role model to pupils within the school community.
  • Contribute to constructive team-building amongst teaching and non-teaching staff, parents and governors.
  • Actively contribute to the process of building up and developing a new primary school.
  • Ensure that the current national conditions of employment for schoolteachers are fulfilled.
  • Ensure that Fundamental British Values are actively promoted within school.
  • Deliver the full EYFS curriculum in a designated class.
  • Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all pupils, through differentiation of tasks.
  • Mark and maintain accurate class registers in accordance with the school policy.
  • Organise the physical classroom/office environment and daily routine taking into account Health and Safety requirements.
  • Maintain a neat, orderly & safe environment.
  • Create a well ordered, attractive, secure and nurturing environment which ensures the educational, emotional, social and pastoral well-being of all the children.
  • Monitor and organise the class resources so that they are appropriate, well maintained and stored in an orderly and accessible manner.

In order to deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties, however, will fall within the scope of the post, at the appropriate grade.
