Reception Teacher - Bury

A 'GOOD' primary school in the Bury (BL9) area is looking for a teacher to work in the reception class room. The school has had an unexpected long term sickness and the Head teacher is looking for a NQT or FQT to start as soon as possible and carry on until the end of the academic year. The primary school is dedicated to delivering high quality teaching and learning whilst at the same time providing rich and truly enjoyable learning experiences for their pupils to push them to reach their full potential.

As this role will be carry on until the end of the academic year, the Head teacher is looking for an experienced teacher who will throw themselves into the whole school life, immersing themselves in the schools community, and taking part in extra-curricular activities. In return the school can provide a positive and supportive environment for children and staff to thrive, PPA cover and teaching assistants in the class room.

The primary school are looking for a reception teacher who is:

  • Experienced in working in EYFS classes
  • Enthusiastic and is committed to high standards and has high expectations of behaviour and raising pupil attainment
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Enthusiastic about providing exciting learning experiences for the children in a cross curricular context
  • Experienced in using different phonics schemes

The 2 form Bury primary school is a larger than average with a higher than average percentage of children EHC plans throughout the school. Within the reception class, there are specialised teaching assistants to support the successful candidate in the classroom.

This Bury primary school was graded 'Good' in its most recent Ofsted inspection and aspires to create a warm and inclusive school environment which lies at the heart of the local community.
