Are you a Teacher of Religious Education/ have exp. of teaching RE seeking work?
Are you available for full-time work?
Is Preston accessible for you to get to for work?
If so, I am working on behalf of a mainstream secondary school in the Preston area who are seeking a Teacher of RE from ASAP. This post has come about due to a Teacher within the department going on early maternity leave due to complications. The incoming Teacher is required until Christmas, but at present, the school cannot confirm what the health of the Teacher will be at this moment in time.
The RE Teacher will be required to teach KS3/4 and will be responsible for the planning and preparation of these lessons to a high standard. There may be some A-Level RE lessons, therefore some A-Level experience would be beneficial however this is not essential for the post. This is a 'Good' school as judged by Ofsted and it is a smaller than average secondary school with around 700 students on roll. Students generally present good behaviour however classroom management skills are required.
The school is located on the outskirts of Preston City Centre with easily accessible transport links and close links to theM6 motorway (Tickled Trout Jct.).
To be suitable for this role you MUST have:
- Valid UK PGCE in Humanities with QTS
- Recent experience of teaching KS3/4 RE lessons
- Some experience of teaching A-Level RE (this is desirable not essential)
- The ability to plan and deliver high quality RE lessons
- Commitment to a full-time, potentially long term post
If you are interested in this position, please contact Hayley ASAP. The school would like CV's of suitable RE Teachers before end of play 21/11/17 with a view to starting ASAP.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
