Job description

Job Title: Qualified Tutor - 1:1

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students based on their individual learning needs and goals.
  • Create personalised lesson plans and educational materials tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure academic improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and feedback.
  • Stay updated on educational best practises and incorporate them into tutoring sessions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience in delivering one-on-one tutoring sessions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit individual student needs

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching role
  • Demonstrated success in improving student academic performance

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of learning styles and effective teaching strategies
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals
  • Proficient in using educational technology and resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or relevant field
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
