Qualified Maths Teacher

Location: Oldbury, Secondary School

Start date: January 2026 

Salary MPS/UPS (dependent on experience) 


 

About the role: 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools in Oldbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire students and make a real impact within a supportive school community. The role is suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop their teaching career.


Role Responsbilities: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (potentially KS5) 

  • Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high achievement.

  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and attainment.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and share best practice.

  • Contribute to the wider school community through meetings, extracurricular activities, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

  • Experience teaching maths at secondary level (ECTs welcome).

  • Strong knowledge of the UK maths curriculum.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
