At teaching personnel we are expanding our team and are seeking two enthusiastic graduates who are considering a career in teaching. Suitable candidates will be proactive and have the ability to think on their feet. The school is keen to find recent graduates interested in SEN, Education and Child Development and are eager to get involved helping SEN children both in and outside the classroom with daily activities. You will have the opportunity to work 1:1, in small groups and general whole class assistant. The welcoming school is situated in Greenwich and has an incredible support system from senior staff members like the Head Teacher to the school SENCO, who continuously invest their time in ensuring you are excelling in the role.

No two days are the same in a Primary school, so be prepared to always learn something new!

The role

  • SEN Primary Teaching Assistant - supporting children throughout EYFS - KS2
  • Supporting the classroom teacher, focusing on interventions with SEN children
  • Ideal for Psychology Masters applications or future Psychologists
  • Following plans from the class teacher to support specified children
  • Full-time (8:30 4:30pm) , 5 days a week
  • £60 - £70 each full day

Person requirement

  • Good GCSE and A-Levels grades
  • A degree in Psychology
  • Passion for education and special needs and aspirations to use the experience for future careers
  • Interested in SEN and the learning and development of students
  • A good understanding of SEN ( ASC, MLD, Dyslexia) would be an advantage
