Psychology Graduate
Location: Tamworth
Contract: Full time starting ASAP
Candidate: Must have SEN/ SEMH/ SEND Experience
Monthly Salary: £1200 - £1500
Teaching personnel are seeking psychology graduates to use their expertise to provide 1:1 support to individuals with SEN in a specialist school in Tamworth. The school supports students aged 11 to 19 years old who all have an education health and care plan and exhibit learning difficulties and/or delay in their learning. Students have a broad range of needs including learning difficulties and disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism. The flexible curriculum provided has a heavy focus on creativity and allows students to gain a variety of experiences which form pivotal points of their education. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday (8:30am to 3:30pm).
The school itself has facilities including a sports hall, kitchen, engineering classes, art workshop a school shop and much more that all students have access to daily. If successful, this role could also include working 1:1 or in small groups with therapeutic interventions. The positions we have available are starting as soon as possible.
Who are we looking for:
You don’t need specific school experience however you will need the below in order to be considered:
- Psychology degree or a degree in a related field
- Must have experience working with young people
- Must have experience working with SEN (this could be in schools or personal experience, care sector, family / friends, or in the community)
- Have a passion for education
- Hold a current and clear DBS or willing to do a new one.
- Open to CPD
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Adaptable and versatile
- Have a Full valid UK driving license
- Eager to help vulnerable and young people to lice happy fulfilling lives
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teaching staff in the delivery of lessons
- Delivering small group sessions
- Providing one to one support to students who require additional help
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
