Psychology Graduate

Are you a Psychology Graduate, or currently studying a degree associated with Psychology? Are you looking for full time employment which is associated with your degree?  An Ofsted graded ‘outstanding’ Primary SEN School in Radcliffe, Bury are seeking to employ a Psychology Graduate to work as a teaching assistant to work on a long term basis from February 2021. The role will involve supporting young people with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

This school caters for young people between the ages of 11-18 who have a range of special educational needs such as: Autism, Severe Learning difficulties, Profound and multiple learning difficulties. Some of the children may require assistance with personal care, so you must have a willingness to support with this element of the role. Also, some children can become verbally and physically challenging therefore additional training such as Team-Teach would be beneficial; Teaching Personnel offer this training.

The successful Psychology Graduate will have a good theoretical understanding of Psychology and Special educational needs. You must also be confident, resilient and have a genuine desire to help young people with SEN progress.
