Job Title: Psychology Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Burnley/Nelson/Colne

Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time

Salary: £83-£100 per day

Teaching Personnel is collaborating with Primary Schools in Nelson, Colne and Burnley to recruit Psychology Graduates for teaching assistant roles. We at teaching personnel can provide flexible work that caters to a range of needs, such as full time, part time, permanent, and temporary roles. These roles offer a unique opportunity for psychology graduates to apply their knowledge and gain experience in an educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support: classroom activities, working alongside teachers to enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Assist: Provide targeted assistance to students with varying learning needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Utilize Knowledge: your understanding of mental health to contribute to the development and implementation of effective teaching strategies.
  • Identification and Support: Assist in the identification and support of students with additional educational needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create a positive and engaging atmosphere within the classroom.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Passion for applying psychological principles to support students' educational and emotional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within an educational setting.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational environment is advantageous but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
