BEHAVIOURAL TEACHING ASSISTANT - CARDIFF

Behavioural Teaching assistant needed for a Cardiff Secondary School.

If you have previous experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour or if you are a psychology or youth work graduate then please get in touch today.

We have a role starting after the Easter holidays within a behaviour base in this supportive Cardiff Secondary School.

The school are specialists in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour as they have a high number of statemented pupils within the school every year. This has led to the school now being seen as a specialist in the area which means it is vital that we ensure the high level quality of staff provided.

The School and Position

  • Position: Full time until the end of the academic year
  • Pay Rates: Up to £300 per week dependant on experience
  • Fixed term contract starting April 2018 with possibilities of becoming permanent.
  • Behavioural teaching assistant for secondary school pupils aged between 11-19
  • Large school with over 1200 pupils
  • Specialists in supporting challenging behaviour
  • Easy transport links. Situated 10 minutes from City Centre

The successful behavioural teaching assistant

  • Educated to Degree level is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience working within a school is desirable
  • Have the confidence to build report with pupils and act as a support function to the wider department
  • Work closely with the SENCO
