Psychology Graduate Bury

Are you a Psychology Graduate? Are you looking for a route into work after your studies? An Ofsted graded 'outstanding' primary SEN school in Radcliffe, Bury are seeking to employ a Psychology Graduate Teaching assistant to work on a long term basis as soon as possible. The role will involve supporting young people with additional needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.

This school caters for young people between the ages of 5-11 who have a range of special educational needs such as: Autism, Severe Learning difficulties, Profound and multiple learning difficulties. Some of the children may require assistance with personal care so you must have a willingness to support with this element of the role. Also, some children can become verbally and physically challenging therefore additional training such as Team-Teach would be beneficial. Teaching Personnel offer this training.

The successful Psychology Teaching assistant will have a good theoretical understanding of special educational needs. You must also be a confident and a resilient teaching assistant who holds a genuine desire to help young people with SEN progress.
