PRU Maths Teacher

Job description

The Head of a client Pupil Referral Unit is looking for a Maths teacher to work at their specialist provision for the rest of the academic year. This specialist provision offers a happy, stimulating and purposeful environment where every young person is valued as a unique individual and is able to participate in a wide range of educational and social activities.

The PRU caters for learners from Key stage 3 through to Key stage 5. The young people at this school have access to specialist therapeutic and learning support that enables them to engage fully in all educational and enrichment activities. As a teacher here you will have access to a wide range of resources to assist your work and will be able to offer academic and vocational programmes to your students including Functional Skills, Life Skills, BTEC, GCSE and A Level courses.

This school is looking for an established and confident teacher to join their team. Experience working with challenging behaviour and SEMH children is essential for the role. Team Teach Training is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
