This opportunity offers a full-time, permanent position or alternatviely, flexible supply opportunities.
Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant at one of our partner primary schools in Torquay, you will play a crucial role in assisting teachers and promoting the overall development and well-being of students. This position is full time and the successful educator will support across Recepion up to Year 6.
Full-time positions have the opportunity to transfer onto a school contact, if desired.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students across various subjects and activities
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the needs of individual learners
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing tailored strategies and interventions
- Help to maintain a safe and organised classroom environment conducive to learning
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of students
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to engage in continuous professional development
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare is advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
