Primary Teaching Assistants

Pay: Competitive and dependant on experience / qualifications

Location: Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan

Start: ASAP (flexible, part-time, full-time, and day-to-day)

Teaching Personnel, the UK’s leading education recruitment agency, are currently working in partnership with several mainstream Primary schools across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Many of which, require extra support on an ad-hoc basis to cover unexpected staffing changes, sickness and isolation periods.  Desirable experience and qualifications:

  • At least 3 months working with children in a primary classroom setting
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (such as, Autism, Global Delay and behavioural issues)
  •  Teaching assistant qualification (i.e. Diploma or CACHE level 2/3)
  • Youth or background in care
  • Degree in Education Studies (or similar)

The role:

There are a variety of roles available across all primary age groups, however, you can expect to:

  • Run small group interventions (numeracy and literacy)
  • Provide 1:1 support
  • Support the teacher in classroom activities and tidying up

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
