Primary Teaching Assistant

A dedicated SEN primary school in Devizes is seeking a full-time Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.

This rewarding role involves working closely with primary-aged pupils who require additional support due to a range of special needs.

The ideal candidate will be patient, compassionate, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils individually and in small groups to access the curriculum

• Assisting teachers with the delivery of tailored learning programmes

• Helping to manage behaviour and promote emotional wellbeing

• Encouraging social development and communication skills

• Maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Person Specification:

• Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)

• A calm, patient and adaptable approach to supporting learning

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• DBS registered on the Update Service or willing to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
