Job description

A school in Preston are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants from 8th March

The school supports students with Specific Learning Difficulties, Visual Impairments, Hearing Impairments, Speech, language and Communication Needs, Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, Physical Disabilities, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties.

The suitable candidate must have experience in supporting pupils with SEN, particularly sensory and behavioural difficulties and must be willing to provide personal care.

The role will be based in the primary department therefore you must have experience in this area in providing support for pupils who function at a primary level.

Your aim:
"    To provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum differentiated to meet individual needs.
"    To encourage and promote understanding of each pupils individual needs.
"    To raise self-esteem through a positive approach to teaching & learning.
"    To develop and enhance appropriate social skills in a range of contexts.
"    To increase independence for life.

The school is located very close to the M6 / M65 motorways and is a 15minute walk from the nearest train station.

The role will be until Easter initially, with a view to continuing beyond.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
