About Special Needs Schools in Wigan:

Job Description:
As a Full-Time Primary Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children with special needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs, assisting them with their academic, social, and personal development.
- Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies, in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
- Supporting students with personal care tasks, if required, and ensuring their health and safety at all times.
- Creating and maintaining a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Collaborating with colleagues and external agencies to meet the diverse needs of students and promote their overall well-being.
Option for Permanent Contract:
For educators who demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting children with special needs and excel in their role, there will be an option for a permanent contract. This offers the opportunity for long-term stability and career progression within the special needs school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
