Job Title: Primary SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Bradford

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £77 - £85 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supporting primary school students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational activities
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN during lessons
  • Helping to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure the individual needs of students are met

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies to support students with SEN

Education:

A relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable but not essential

Experience:

Prior experience working in a school or educational setting is preferred but not essential 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN principles and best practises
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, typically during school hours
  • Work within a primary school setting in Bradford
  • Collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
