Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant BD5

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans
  • Providing additional support to students during lessons and activities
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
  • Experience working with children with SEN
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Relevant qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs

Experience:

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid training

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with children with SEN. The working hours are part-time, and flexibility may be required to support students during different activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
