A mainstream primary school in South Liverpool are looking to appoint a behaviour mentor. This opportunity is to work with KS2 pupil's who have challenging and disruptive behaviour.  This is a class-based position however you may have to deliver 1:1 intervention sessions independently to maintain the progress of the pupil's behaviour and learning. You will be providing help to the class teacher with the pupils to aid them in overcoming any behavioural issues, whilst also acting as a role model. 

Job Role:

• Full time, Monday to Friday
• Hours, 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Long term
• Start date: September 2020
• KS2 setting
• South Liverpool
• GBP10 - GBP11 Per Hour

Person Specification:

• Passionate and empathetic individual
• Relevant qualifications (level 2, level 3, degree)
• Previous experience working with SEN, Challenging behaviour, Youth offending, Youth Work or Sports Coaching
• Strong GCSE results English and Maths
• Good background subject knowledge of KS2 National Curriculum
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and emphatic listening skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Current DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for a new one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
