Role: PPA Teacher
Duration: Immediate start
Pay: GBP140-150 per day (paid on a weekly basis – negotiable dependant on experience and references)
Are you a fully qualified Teacher who is passionate about working and educating children?
Teaching Personnel is very excited to present a great opportunity for a PPA Teacher at a one-form entry primary school based less than five minutes from Kilburn Park (Bakerloo) and Kilburn Park High Road (Overground) stations.
The school is a diverse and inclusive one-form entry Church of England primary school situated in the Westminster borough but near the boundaries of Brent and Camden and is attended by pupils from all three authorities. The school is wonderfully diverse, comprised of pupils from a wide range of nations, ethnicities and cultures. They school is focused on excellence in learning delivered within the ethos of Christian values, which they seek to identify as common values shared across the belief systems of the other faiths represented at the school.
At the core of the school’s vision is a determination to foster a love of learning in all children that will endure long after they leave, enabling them to easily adapt to future challenges. Relationships in the school are strong and children feel well cared for as both individuals and learners. The schools most recent Ofsted inspection (Feb. 2018) confirmed the school continues to be ‘Good’ and is improving towards outstanding.
Pupils are happy, settled and engaged. There is an established rich and well-structured curriculum encouraging curiosity and imagination. Pupils have many creative outlets including Spanish and learning to play a musical instrument. There are numerous extra-curricular activities including residential visits. The school is fortunate to be sufficiently resourced to be able to bring in additional staff for the extended curriculum and so staff workload remains generally low and well managed.
There are a number of support staff in the school deployed effectively across all year groups to support learning. Teachers are ambitious and determined that every pupil should achieve well and this is well reflected by the pupils working hard and concentrating well in lessons. The drive for excellence is deep-rooted across the school the vision extends across the whole community including parents, carers, leaders, staff and governors.
If this sounds like the ideal role for you, the school are hoping to interview as soon as possible. Shortlisting criteria include:
- UK QTS
- Minimum of two years UK teaching experience, ideally including at least a year of KS2 teaching
