Part Time Primary Teacher
The Headteacher of a Primary School in Blackpool is keen to secure a PPA teacher to work 0.2 (every Thursday) covering PPA from across Reception and Year 1 specifically teaching Music . This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who has stepped back from full class teaching OR a teacher who is looking to return to the classroom – experience teaching Music or even an interest in Music would be advantageous.
The school is located close to public transport links and is easily commutable. Behaviour is graded as GOOD however, the Headteacher is keen to secure a candidate who will contribute to continuing this. Candidates must have excellent behaviour management. In addition, the successful candidate would be first port of call for any additional cover requirements in school should the successful candidate be interested in increasing their working days.
This role is to begin ASAP, the school are willing to wait two weeks for the right candidate.
Details of the role:
- Working Days: Thursdays (0.2)
- Start date: ASAP (until July 2020).
Responsibilities will include:
- Planning for learning and progression in the subject agreed (Music) and for classes across the school
- Differentiating for the various needs of the pupils, and teaching accordingly
- Assessing, monitoring and recording progression
- Creating a safe and engaging learning environment
- Managing behaviour effectively
- Providing feedback to parents or carers, where necessary
- Undertaking continuous professional development
- Contributing to the wider life of the school
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Child workforce DBS on update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
- Teaching experience across the primary phase
