Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for your next role in a vibrant and welcoming primary school setting?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in Sunderland seeking to appoint a skilled HLTA to provide support across year groups. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA to make a real impact, supporting learning and covering classes as needed across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality learning activities to whole classes in the absence of the teacher

• Work closely with teaching staff to plan, prepare, and assess learning activities

• Support pupils’ academic and social development across various year groups

• Provide targeted interventions where necessary

• Uphold school policies and promote a positive learning environment

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent experience

• Have recent, relevant experience in a UK primary school

• Be confident managing whole class teaching

• Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills

• Be flexible, adaptable, and committed to pupil progress
