PPA teacher
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
A school in Burley are keen to appoint a PPA teacher from as soon as school returns in September until the Christmas holidays.
The SLT have decided that, as they reshuffle their staff due to the shutdown, they would like to appoint a full-time PPA teacher instead of covering in-house to explore the possibilities this would open up, as it would free other staff to do different tasks. This would allow other teaching staff more time to plan and do more focused group work, so should this go well the school are open to the idea of offering a permanent contract to the right candidate. Also, the school would like to utilise this staff for covering within school separate to PPA time, as there may be a spike in absences due to COVID-19.
The school is rated as GOOD and is 2-form entry throughout year groups Reception – Year 6. The Head is very welcoming and has a good record of developing younger staff members in their time at the school.
Requirements:
- Fully Qualified Teacher (no NQTs)
- Experience teaching in KS1 and KS2
- Good behaviour management
- Available full-time
Above all else the school need an experienced and confident teacher, who is reliable enough to work across these varied classes and age groups without too many issues. The Head wants to be able to trust the candidate in these various situations, so wide-ranging and varied school experience would reflect well in this sense. Some classes also have more challenging behaviour than others, so someone who is not intimidated by this and has a track record of handling tough classes is very desirable to the school.
This role is ideal for anyone looking for exciting teaching work with a variety of children, without the stresses of a full-time class teacher role. The school is easily accessible by car or public transport. If this sounds like a role you would be interested in this role then apply by submitting your CV as indicated and we will get back to you!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
