PPA Teacher – Southport

Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Flexible working hours
Pay: £125–£232.56 per day

Teaching Personnel is excited to be working with a highly regarded, inclusive primary school in Southport, and we’re looking for enthusiastic PPA Teachers who want to teach without the additional workload of a full-time class role.

Your Role as a PPA Teacher

You will play an important part in supporting high‑quality education across KS1 and KS2, covering classes during teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment time.

Your responsibilities include:

Teach Inspiring, Pre‑Planned Lessons

Deliver engaging lessons across different year groups with planning already provided.

Ensure Consistent Learning

Follow school planning and adapt where needed to maintain lesson flow and continuity.

Create a Positive Atmosphere

Build an inclusive, calm and engaging environment—even when moving between classes.

Work as Part of a Supportive Team

Communicate with class teachers and leaders, offering helpful feedback after lessons.

Support Pupil Progress

Check for understanding, adapt delivery and ensure every child feels supported.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching KS1 and/or KS2
  • Adaptability and confidence teaching across different year groups
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupils’ wellbeing
  • A proactive, positive and flexible mindset

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
