Role and responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons to a Year 6 class in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring teaching supports pupils’ academic progress and confidence.
• Create a welcoming and stimulating learning environment that nurtures pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
• Work openly and collaboratively with colleagues, contributing positively to the wider school community.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to parents and external agencies to support each child’s progress and well‑being.
• Consistently assess, track, and monitor pupil progress, identifying when targets are not being met and implementing appropriate next steps to support improvement.

What Are We Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Experience teaching KS2, ideally with previous experience teaching a Year 6 class.
• Strong communication skills, confidence, and effective behaviour management.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ensuring all learners can access the curriculum.
