About the Role

The Headteacher and Governing Body of a well-regarded primary school in Toxteth are seeking an experienced and proactive primary teacher to undertake PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) cover across five classes, as well as support with targeted interventions.

The successful candidate will be required to work on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, delivering support to pupils in Years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. During the additional half-day, the teacher will work with a small group of Year 5 pupils, focusing on closing gaps in their mathematical understanding.

This vacancy has arisen due to the relocation of the current postholder, creating the possibility of a temporary-to-permanent opportunity. The role is ideally suited to an experienced teacher seeking part-time work within a warm, inclusive, and well-resourced school environment.

The school maintains a GOOD standard of behaviour, and the successful candidate must demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and uphold the school’s comprehensive behaviour policy.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
