PMLD Specialist Teaching Assistant Needed

We are looking for an experienced TA to work in an SEN setting in Swansea. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support children with various Special Educational Needs in school.

In this instance we are particularly looking for teaching assistants who have an interest in working with pupils with Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties. Ideally you will be flexible and happy to do short term supply work whilst we look for an ideal long term role for you. You will be an engaging, empathetic and creative individual with a passion to assist children with complex health needs including Moving & Handling, Personal Care and feeding skills. Experience in a school is desired, but not essential as we also look for experience in areas such as health and social care as well as nursing qualifications.

Particular personal or professional experience of supporting individuals with PMLD is highly desirable as is knowledge of PEG feeding; Team Teach, moving and handling certifications and hoist training would be a desirable addition, but is not essential to this role.
