PMLD TA Mansfield

Job description

Teaching Personnel are requiring Learning Support Assistants who specialise in supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties to work in an SEN School in the NG20 are of Mansfield.

The School:

  • Caters for students aged 3 - 19 years old
  • Students have PMLD, ASD and Complex Needs
  • Part of an Academy
  • Most pupils have a degree of Moderate or Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD) some pupils also have Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Flexible, adaptable and creative to support a variety of students with complex health needs
  • Experience communicating with young people who may have severely impaired communication using electronic communication aids, Makaton or PECS
  • Recently Moving and Handling trained (Not Essential)
  • Confident to differentiate to a range of learning abilities including those on P-Levels
  • Confident and comfortable with personal care requirements
  • Any additional training is desirable e.g. Medication/Epilepsy/PEG Feeding, however this is NOT essential.
  • We are looking for a full time candidate but will also consider candidates who are only looking for part time work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
