Position: PMLD Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Thornton
Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a delightful Year 2 child with PMLD, ensuring their individual needs are met with care and sensitivity.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored educational plans and activities designed to engage and support the child.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where the child feels valued and supported.
- Support the child in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills through personalized interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor and report on the child's progress.
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed, ensuring the dignity and comfort of the child.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in classroom activities and school events, adapting as necessary to meet the child's needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with PMLD or other special educational needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of the child.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (preferred but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
