Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Down's Syndrome? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in Blackpool, providing essential support to students with Down's Syndrome.
Position: Down's Syndrome Support Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackpool
Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with Down's Syndrome, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assist the class teacher in implementing tailored educational plans and activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
- Support students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor and report on student progress.
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed, ensuring the dignity and comfort of the student.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in classroom activities and school events.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Down's Syndrome or other special educational needs.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of each student.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (preferred but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
