This Louth based SEN school supports students from 2 – 19 with varying needs including Autism, Complex Health needs, Sensory and Communication difficulties, Physical disabilities along with Profound and Multiple Learning difficulties.

Each student has an individual pathway created for them meaning their learning can be tailored to what suits them best. The School offer a flexible approach meaning as the students change and develop, so can their learning journey.

They are now looking to recruit a Teacher who specialises in Profound and Multiple Learning difficulties to add to their team. Within this role you will be working with children who need additional support. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing programmes of learning activities
• Planning, preparing and researching lessons
• Preparing resources and lessons: this can mean using special equipment, facilities and resources or adapting current resources.
• Making use of special facilities and/or equipment
• Contact and teaching time with students on an individual, class or small group basis
• Adapting conventional teaching methods and creating individual learning plans to meet the needs of students
• Attending statutory annual reviews, training events and other relevant meetings to keep up with the latest SEN developments 
• Liaising with parents, external agencies and a range of other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists
• Writing reports
• Coordinating the work of support staff
• Organising activities outside of school such as community visits, school trips or sporting events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
