Physics teacher Oldham - part time (0.6)

  • Flexible working schedule of 0.6 timetable over 5 days
  • Work in state of the art laboratories newly built in 2013
  • Accessible via public transport links - 10 minute walk from tram station

Are you a qualified Physics teacher looking for the flexibility of working part time (0.6) from September?

Our client school has a permanent gap in their Science department from September for a qualified Physics teacher to join and teach GCSE Physics and initially team teach at AS/A2. The post is a 0.6 timetable and there is currently flexibility on how the timetable is covered over the days. This post will initially be supply, with the successful applicant having the option to move to a contract after the first term.

Our client school is a 14 – 19 engineering technical college in Oldham, which specialises in vocational education pathways for students with a passion for Science and Engineering and has links to local and national STEM career pathways. The school was formed 3 years ago, and already holds a number of testimonials from former students and employers about the skills being imparted to the students. The school offers the core education of Maths, English and Science coupled with Engineering, Further Mathematics and Applied Science modules to ensure students are able to access all avenues of the curriculum.

This is the ideal opportunity for a Physics teacher looking to deliver a timetable fully consisting of Physics across a part time schedule, supporting the work of an experienced Head of Department who is keen to continue delivering excellent results at Key Stage 4 and A Level.
