Physics Teacher

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Physics specialist required for a County Durham secondary school. Is helping students to achieve their potential in your nature?

  • September start!
  • Earn up to £190 per day!
  • Access to an ‘Outstanding’ CPD programme to enhance your skills and your CV.

I am representing a secondary school in the County Durham area that is looking for a Physics specialist for a vacancy in the coming term. The school, with over 1000 students, has previously achieved ‘Good’ Ofsted reports and are putting measures in place to return to these standards; therefore a candidate who would be committed to helping the school reach this is essential.

You would be responsible for teaching mainly Key Stage 3 and 4 Biology lessons, although the school does have a Sixth Form provision so there may be some Key Stage 5 teaching involved. The school has achieved ‘Good’ ratings for the behaviour of its students, so a teacher who is happy to challenge the students academically, rather than merely deal with behavioural issues, is what the school are ideally seeking.

The role is until the end of the school year, although the timetable may shrink after the June examinations, so a teacher who is willing to lend a hand in other departments in this ‘downtime’ would be considered favourably. In return you will receive;

• Competitive rates of pay, up to £190 per day depending on experience and length of booking.

• Access to an ‘Outstanding’ CPD programme to enhance your skills and your CV.

• A dedicated recruitment consultant, who is a teacher of 10 years’ experience himself.

• ‘Recommend a Friend’ scheme, which earns you money for nominating fellow teachers for work.

• A chance to win the ‘Teacher of the Month Award’.

• Save money on needless umbrella company fees by being part of Teaching Personnel’s payroll.

For more information or to discuss this Biology role personally, please contact Aaron on 0191 223 5071 or email aaron.sloan@teachingpersonnel.com.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates applying to jobs through Teaching Personnel must undertake or have undertaken an Enhanced Disclosure (Child Workforce Only) via the DBS and registered on the Update Service.
