Peripatetic Teacher - Oldham
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
The role commences as soon as possible and is for a qualified teacher who is looking for an opportunity to work in a specialist setting. The position is a Peripatetic role so the successful Teacher would need to drive and have access to their own vehicle as the role will involve travelling around various schools.
The role will involve planning and delivering lessons which are designed to support the optimal development of pupils with SEN. Due to the specific needs of the pupils we would be interested in applicants who have a considerable amount of experience supporting children or young people with SEN or SEMH needs.
The ideal teacher will have experience working within a special needs or SEMH school, however this is not essential as long as the teacher can demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting pupils with SEN in achieving their optimal potential.
The successful teacher will be:
- Be able to adapt lessons to assure that learning is accessible to pupils with varying needs
- Be able to establish and maintain working relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community
- Ideally Team-Teach trained (can be provided)
If you feel that you have the appropriate skills and qualifications to be considered for the post, please apply directly by submitting a CV and covering letter.
