A large Newcastle-based Secondary school are seeking a dynamic Teacher of Physical Education (PE) on a full time basis from January 2020 or earlier for the successful post-holder.

Due to a member of staff set to take maternity leave in the New Year this Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school wishes to appoint a skilled practitioner to join their welcoming staff team; providing outstanding teaching and learning.   • Full time Teacher of PE required from January 2020 or earlier
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Physical Education or Sports
  • Applications are welcome from both experienced and newly quailed teachers as relevant support will be provided for the successful post-holder
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24,373 - GBP40,490

The PE department boasts access to state of the art resources within modern facilities, there has been a full refurbishment within the sports hall and on site gym. PE is extremely popular amongst pupils across the school board and boasts a variety of activities including athletics, Football, Rugby and Hockey. The responsibilities for the incoming Teacher of PE will include but may not be limited to;

  • Assist in the development of programmes within the PE department alongside through the planning, preparing and marking of the Curriculum.
  • Deliver dynamic PE lessons sessions to pupils across the school at Key Stage 3 & 4.
  • Positively manage behaviour amongst all pupils in accordance to school behaviour policies.
  • Promote the school's vision, aims, objectives and values.

Located in North Tyneside, this Secondary School can be accessed via the A19, South Tyneside and all areas of Northumberland and the surrounding areas; Durham, Sunderland and Teesside. The school can also be accessed through various public transport options with links across Newcastle upon Tyne.
