Job description

A secondary school on the outskirts of Ryeis looking for a part time Music Teacher, required for September start.

At Key Stage 3, you are required to teach performance, listening and appraising skills as well looking at how to understand and explore the creation of music and how it is produced.  This then relates to the BTEC curriculum at Key Stage 4.

  • A number of their students leave us to study music as a higher education option
  • A number of our students perform locally at music venues and festivals
  • We have excellent music facilities
  • We run trips to musicals, classical venues and more

Applications are sought from an inspirational Music teacher to join an innovative Music department within a highly successful, supportive and dynamic non-selective 11-18 Academy.

This school offers a happy working culture where teachers can teach and students can learn in an school where leadership is judged as Good by OFSTED in 2023.

The successful Candidate must:

  • Be educated to at least Degree level, with Qualified Teacher Status or comparative Overseas Teacher Training
  • Have experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Music
  • Excellent subject knowledge and good ICT skills
  • Have proof of right to work in the UK, a UK/EU Passport or valid Biometric Residence Permit

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
