A large school in the centre of Darwen, Lancashire have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source a part time HLTA to work across a range of year groups. The role will be to commence as soon as possible and at the latest in January 2019. The Head teacher did mention that the children who arrive in school are 'challenging' and will 'test new members of staff', therefore you must be able to demonstrate how you can effectively build good working relationships with the children and create good working boundaries.

The specific hours of the role are to be confirmed with the HEAD TEACHER and the BUSINESS MANAGER however it is expected to be around 17-20 working hours in the week. This may also be extended depending on other staffing movements across the school. The pay for the part time hours will be pro-rata, expected to be around £10.80 per hour. Within the role you will be expected to meet with class teachers to gain a better knowledge of what they would like to be covered in their classrooms. You will then use their medium term plans to create weekly objectives and plans to ensure you are planning for progression and making an impact in school. You may be expected to deliver both Core and Foundation subjects across a number of year groups- it is therefore important that you have a good primary subject knowledge as well as a sound pedagogy.

Please contact the office when you get a minute to discuss how we can send across your CV to the school and whether you are suitable.
