Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching?

Join Teaching Personnel as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in September 2021, to have the chance to secure a paid full time role on a flexible basis, prior to enrolling on a teacher training course and to gain more experience.

Successful graduates will have the opportunity to work within Sheffield schools from now or September. The roles will include:

  • Covering lessons across years 7 – 11 in the short-term absence of the classroom teacher,
  • Assisting with the planning and preparation of resources to enhance the learning of individual learners,
  • Providing in-class support alongside teachers,
  • Providing 1-1 support to students outside of the classroom,
  • Delivering learning activities and intervention to small groups of students outside of the classroom,
  • Providing support to students with Special Educational Needs.

We welcome applications from Graduates of English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Languages.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
