Job description

Job Title: GCSE Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Thorpe-le-Soken

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

Salary:

£25 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

- Provide one-on-one tutoring to students preparing for their English and Maths GCSE exams

- Develop tailored lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student

- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff

- Motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential

- Keep accurate records of student attendance and performance

Required Qualifications:

- A degree in Education or a related field

- Qualified Teacher Status in the UK

- Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)

Education:

- Degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience

- Experience working with students preparing for GCSE exams

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong knowledge of the English and Maths GCSE curriculum

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles

- Organisational skills and attention to detail

- Patience and empathy when working with students

Working Conditions:

- Part-time hours, flexible schedule

- Work primarily in learners homes, local libraries or schools

- Adhere to safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
