Position: Office Manager
Start Date: September
Contract: Fulltime, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, Dependent on experience
An Ofsted rated GOOD primary school in Ashford, Kent, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Office Manager to join their permanent staff team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of a vibrant and welcoming educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the school office
- Managing administrative support staff and delegating tasks effectively
- Handling correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries from parents, staff, and external agencies
- Maintaining accurate records and managing school databases
- Coordinating admissions and enrollment processes
- Ensuring compliance with school policies, regulations, and procedures
- Assisting with budget management, including invoicing and procurement
- Organizing school events, meetings, and appointments
- Liaising with the senior leadership team to support school improvement plans
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an office management role, preferably within an educational setting
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with school management software
- Knowledge of data protection regulations and confidentiality practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude and a commitment to the school's ethos and values
Desirable:
- Experience with SIMS (School Information Management System)
- First Aid qualification
- Knowledge of HR and payroll processes
